Advocacy for People with Brain Injuries by
People with Brain Injuries
We are people with brain injuries. In particular, we are people with acquired brain injuries. We are organized. Our point is that we wish to do our own collective and self-advocacy on behalf of our own survivor community. "Brain Injury Advocacy" is not the exclusive venue of service provider professionals, medical institutions, educators, lawyers, and other vested stakeholders. We are stakeholders in our own community as well. Advocacy for people with brain injuries by people with brain injuries is not impossible, as we are here to demonstrate. So, please, take some time to review our public policy. If you are an advocate for us, please find out what we say is important for our community. Support our aims. Please incorporate the objectives that we request in the work that you do. Thank you.
