Blast Exposure Brain Injury
April 2, 2018 BIN has commenced a Facebook closed (private) group for peer support and networking for individuals who have been exposed to concussive blasts and who may (or may not as yet) been diagnosed with this new brain injury condition. Individuals most likely to have sustained blast wave injuries to the brain are combat veterans although we also think that civilians in the vicinity of blasts will also be at risk for this kind of injury. This is a new field and has just been announced. Thus far it has only been seen in brains of people who have passed on. We hope that this group will offer some peer support, comfort and solace to individuals suffering from this condition.
